After presenting and explaining all our ideas to each other, we also got some advice off penny, we decided to use Jake's design as the final logo. We felt that his logo design communicated the quirky aesthetic best as it was made using hand crafted paper and shapes which were then scanned in and edited digitally; the idea that it is handcrafted also represents playfulness. His design was also very similar to mine and Alex's which meant it was that it was easier to agree on a design.
The design works well in black and white as well as colour. For colour we decided to go with red, yellow and orange as it communicates the idea of 'Overlay' as red and yellow creates the orange when overlapped.
