Design Development

Today we have developed each element for the Ey Up Creative Canvas further towards final pieces which we will show in the presentation tomorrow, we will also develop some of these further into physical mockups that we can show.

The designs below shows how the 'Ey Up' sculptures would look with the different designers' work on. These designs show examples which use some of our own designs. However, when the designers/students want to actually submit work to be used on the Ey Up sculptures, they would need to submit their designs within a template.

The template

Additionally, we also developed social media which includes a facebook event and an Instagram page for the Ey Up creative canvas to gain more exposure. A poster design was also created which would also help to gain exposure, the poster would be put up around uni and the city.

Poster

Below shows designs for the stamps that would be used on the map. Once the tourist has visited the location, a stamp would be available at the sculpture which will allow them to stamp their map.

Furthermore, below shows the developed map designs with the photographic illustrations added, we stuck with the colour palette of the light blue and dark blue with the orange to create contrast- blue and orange are each others opposite colours according to colour theory.

These are the final designs for the front and back, the colours of the actual map diagram were changed from black to the blues to create consistency. Additionally, space/circles were added into each location square for the stamps to go in.

Additionally, the front of the map when folded simply just shows the 'Ey Up' blue square in a folded diamond square. Once unfolded, the front of the map also shows an image and information about the artists that work is on the some of the sculptures.
