PPP brief 1 development

As a group we have now begun to develop our first PPP brief ideas (the honesty brief) We have experimented thoroughly with each line and begun to add typographic form into them. We have also brain stormed ideas on how to present the three ideas together as a final piece.

1. Too tired for this day

For the 'too tired for this day' line chose to base it on mornings and the first things we/do see when we wake up and feel tired. We came up with several ideas; Hand stitching the words into a pillow, fogging up a bathroom mirror and writing the words in it, craving into burnt toast, spelling out the words using pipe cleaners in hair to represent bed head, writing it on energy drinks and presenting the words 'too tired' in a digital alarm clock.
These are the ideas that we developed further.

We have chosen to go with the alarm clock idea as it is more original and fun.

2. Pub with friends (how to de-stress)

For the 'pub with friends' line we chose to base it on a real pub scenario and all went to a pub together in order to bring our ideas to life. We wanted to spell out a word that relates to de-stressing using
items found at the pub. We chose to spell out the word 'Relax'.
The objects we used; Straws, bottle tops, bottles, glasses, coasters, our hands and arms holding drinks, peanuts etc.

We have chosen to use the second image as it is clearer to see the word 'Relax' and it is also more interactive and personal as it involves us using our arms.

3. Failure

For the 'failure' line, we gathered a good amount of ideas and then chose to develop our two favourites. Our ideas; Screwed up paper to represent a failed test, letter F stamps in red, combination of red warning and failure objects/symbols, failure written on a street/road sign (road to failure), bad grades etc.

We chose to stick with the chalk on the road idea as it is less digital and looks more like a road leading to failure because of how it is photographed. The street sign idea didn't look as unique and handmade.

We are now refining the presentation of the 3 ideas together as a sequence or a video.
